JOB OVERVIEW: We are looking for a knowledgeable Technical Engineer, who has good experience in Backup & Storage and aware of ITIL framework.

JOB SUMMARY: The Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of backup and storage as well as creating backup policies and data recovery. The role is primarily responsible for fulfilling day-to-day storage administration activities with backup operations and backup / recovery, jobs monitoring and troubleshooting failures. In addition, has accountability for ensuring data integrity, and providing detailed documentation of operational procedures.

Backup:

- Having working experience on multiple backup tools and technologies like Data Protector, Veritas Backup Exec, NetBackup, Tivoli Storage Manager, Veeam Backup.
- Experience on Backup and Restore issues.
- Installing and configuration of Master, Media servers and client machines.
- Having good knowledge on backup configuration and Implementation.
- Troubleshooting skill on backup failure and restoration issue.
- Implement and administer a backup and restore system.
- Knowledge on Backup schedules, rotation schedules, and a retention scheme.
- Knowledge on offline backups.
- Knowledge of Catalogs, Inventory, Media Set Operations, Media Valut Operations, Export Media and Import Media.
- Knowledge on Deduplication, replication, Compression.
- Knowledge on Job management and monitoring
- Understanding Alerts and notifications
- Creating Media Sets for tapes
- Having experience on tape rotations on onsite and offsite vault and good knowledge on Tape Libraries.
- Administration and Managing tape libraries.
- Knowledge on scratch Media, Retire Media.
- Knowledge on VTL.
- Installing, Configuration and management of different backup tools - Veritas Backup exec, NAKIVO, Acronis and Veeam Backup and Replication.
- Day to day jobs include backup job monitoring, health check of tape library and reporting
- Creating Archive backup and deleting the files from the server.
- Performing restoration activities as per the deliverables.
- Retriggering failed, missed backups, holding jobs, and resuming backups during windows patching activities.
- Upgrading the software patches for backup tools.
- Creating and performing file and folder level restore.
- Creating Simplified Disaster Recovery.
- Creating media sets with retentions and assigning it to backup jobs.
- Cleaning the tape drive as when there is alerts in Backup EXEC.
- Creating Backup policies as per the requirements.

Storage:

- Good knowledge in multiple vendor Storage like HPE 3par, IBM, Lenovo, Fujitsu, Open filer, Dell EMC.
- Good Knowledge on Storage and Network Components
- Knowledge of different SAN and SAN-Storage topologies
- Experience and knowledge on Raid Concepts
- Knowledge on Storage Protocols like CIFS, NFS,ISCSI/FC/FCoe
- Good Knowledge of Storage Concepts like SAN, NAS.
- Installation and Configuration of Storage and SAN Switches
- Connectivity of Storage with SAN Switches
- Experience in creating Storage Pools, Volumes, Volume Mapping Host configuration, LUN assignment.
- Configure Hosts and Host Groups on Storages.
- Creation of Arrays, Logical Volumes (LUN) and mapping to Hosts\Host groups
- Extending the Storage Space
- Knowledge on Easy Tier, Remote Copy, Virtual Copy, Flash Copy, snap shots.
- Knowledge on Storage Replications.
- Experience in assigning LUN to different OS platform like, Windows, Linux, and Virtualization.
- Working Knowledge on Brocade & Cisco SAN Switches and Fabric Management.
- Experience on San switch and a knowledge on WWN ,WWPN, N port, F Port.
- Knowledge and experience on creating Alias, Zone, Zone config.
- Backing up SAN Switch Configuration

**Salary**: ₹700,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
