Description : Job Title : L2 Storage & Backup Administrator.Location : Pan india ( Reloacte To Dubai ).Expeience : 6 10 Years.Role Overview : We are seeking a skilled and proactive L2 Storage & Backup Administrator to join our IT infrastructure team.The candidate will provide intermediate-level technical support for storage and backup systems, handle escalated issues from L1 teams, and assist in implementing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise storage and backup solutions.This role requires strong knowledge of SAN/NAS storage, backup systems, and virtualization environments to ensure high reliability, performance, and security of the organizations IT infrastructure.Key Responsibilities : Incident Management and Troubleshooting : - Handle escalated issues from L1 support and provide timely resolution.- Troubleshoot backup failures, restoration issues, storage component failures, zoning, and multipathing problems.- Identify root causes of recurring issues and implement corrective measures.System Maintenance And Monitoring : - Perform routine maintenance tasks such as firmware updates on storage and switches, and backup tool upgrades.- Monitor storage performance, generate performance reports, and perform capacity planning.- Ensure systems are operating optimally and securely using tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, or similar.Configuration And Deployment : - Allocate and configure SAN/NAS storage, perform upgrades, optimizations, and migrations.- Manage zoning, switch upgrades, decommissioning, and fabric maintenance activities.- Support system upgrades and migrations in collaboration with L3 engineers.Documentation And Reporting : - Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.- Generate reports on system performance, incidents, and changes for management review.Collaboration : - Work closely with L3 engineers to escalate complex issues and implement advanced solutions.- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for hardware replacements and technical support.Experience : Qualifications and Skills : - 610 years in IT support, storage, and backup administration.Technical Skills : - Strong understanding of storage and backup administration (HP 3PAR, HPE Apollo, Commvault).- Proficiency in storage provisioning, host multipathing, clustering, and VTL technologies.- Backup policy creation, updates, and configuration.- Familiarity with SAN/NAS storage technologies and backup/restore solutions.- Experience with monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios) and ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira).Certifications (Preferred) : - HP 3PAR Certification.- Commvault Certification.- ITIL Foundation Certification.Soft Skills : - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work in fast-paced environments and handle pressure effectively.
