A **School Librarian** is responsible for managing the library and its resources, ensuring students and staff have access to information and materials that support the school's curriculum and foster a love of reading and learning. The librarian plays a key role in promoting literacy, research skills, and the effective use of library resources.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Library Management**:

- Organize and maintain the library’s collection of books, digital resources, magazines, and other educational materials.
- Catalog new resources, ensuring they are properly classified and easy to locate.
- Regularly update the library collection by assessing the relevance and condition of existing materials and acquiring new resources as needed.
- **Student and Staff Support**:

- Assist students and staff in finding information, books, or resources relevant to their needs, whether for class assignments, personal reading, or research projects.
- Provide one-on-one or group instruction on how to use library resources effectively, including online databases and search tools.
- Help students develop research, reading, and information literacy skills.
- **Promote Reading and Literacy**:

- Plan and organize events and activities that promote reading, such as book clubs, reading challenges, author visits, or library-themed events.
- Encourage a love of reading by recommending books and guiding students in choosing age-appropriate and interest-based reading materials.
- **Library Services**:

- Oversee the check-out and return of library materials, ensuring an efficient system for tracking borrowed items.
- Manage the library’s schedule, ensuring that classes, study groups, or other school events have access to library facilities when needed.
- **Curriculum Support**:

- Collaborate with teachers to support the curriculum by selecting resources that align with classroom teaching and student learning objectives.
- Assist in integrating library resources into classroom projects and lessons.
- **Technology Integration**:

- Maintain and manage digital resources, including e-books, audiobooks, and online databases.
- Teach students how to use digital tools and resources, including research databases, online catalogs, and educational software.
- **Inventory and Budgeting**:

- Maintain an inventory of library materials, ensuring proper stock levels and the removal of outdated or damaged resources.
- Assist in managing the library’s budget, allocating funds for purchasing new materials and maintaining existing resources.
- **Policy and Procedure Development**:

- Develop and implement library policies, including borrowing procedures, fines, and the maintenance of a respectful and quiet study environment.
- Ensure that the library adheres to copyright laws and ethical guidelines in the use of materials.

Pay: ₹11,966.57 - ₹20,000.00 per month
