**Job Title**:US Mortgage Underwriter**
**Experience Required**:2+ Years**
**Location**: Bengaluru (Remote)
**Employment Type**: Full-Time

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform **end-to-end underwriting** for **live US mortgage loans**.
- **Capacity** - Analyze the borrower’s ability to repay.
- **Capital** - Evaluate the borrower’s financial reserves.
- **Credit** - Assess the borrower’s creditworthiness.
- **Collateral** - Review property valuation and appraisal reports.
- Conduct detailed **income calculations** to determine borrower eligibility.
- Ensure loans meet **investor and agency guidelines** (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA).
- Identify and mitigate potential risks while ensuring compliance with underwriting policies.
- Work closely with loan processors, loan officers, and other stakeholders for smooth loan approvals.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in underwriting decisions.

**Requirements**:

- **Minimum 2+ years** of experience in **US mortgage underwriting**.
- Hands-on experience with **live underwriting** and **end-to-end loan processing**.
- Strong knowledge of **US mortgage regulations, lending guidelines, and risk assessment**.
- Proficiency in **income calculation** and reviewing financial documents.
- Familiarity with **loan origination systems (LOS) and underwriting software**.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience underwriting **Conventional, FHA, VA, and Jumbo loans**.
- Certifications in **mortgage underwriting (e.g., DE Certification, SAR/LAPP for VA loans)** are a plus.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal and external teams.

Pay: Up to ₹1,000,000.00 per year
