We are seeking an experienced mortgage underwriter to join our team in a dynamic environment.

The ideal candidate will have 3.5+ years of relevant experience in mortgage underwriting, including UK and US mortgage underwriting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform live underwriting with complete end-to-end case ownership, ensuring accurate risk assessment and compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Evaluate borrower profiles using the 4 Cs of Credit – Character, Capacity, Capital, and Collateral.
  • Conduct a detailed credit report review for accurate risk assessment, assessing debt-to-income ratio, loan-to-value evaluation, and asset calculation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth processing and decision-making.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3.5 years of underwriting experience (live / end-to-end).
  • Experience in UK Mortgage or US Mortgage underwriting is required.
  • Strong knowledge of credit report review, DTI, LTV, PITI, income & asset calculations is essential.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills with high accuracy are required.
  • Ability to work in a UK shift environment is necessary.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.
