Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to oversee the daily operations of an underwriting team, ensuring timely and accurate decisions on loan files.

This is a key leadership position responsible for driving business growth, improving efficiency, and maintaining high-quality underwriting standards.

  • Manage Underwriting Operations
  • Provide Expert Escalation Support

As a leader in mortgage underwriting, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing underwriting teams with diverse product portfolios, including FHA, VA, USDA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and jumbo loan products.
  • Acting as the final escalation point for complex loan scenarios and exceptions, providing expert guidance and support.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in U.S. mortgage underwriting, including at least 3 years in a leadership position.
  • Strong command of Automated Underwriting Systems (AUS) and manual underwriting practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Loan Origination Systems (LOS) platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
