**Job Description: Kitchen Helper**

**Position Overview**:
The Kitchen Helper plays a crucial role in supporting the overall operations of the kitchen by assisting the culinary team in various tasks. This position requires a proactive, organized, and team-oriented individual who is willing to contribute to a smooth and efficient kitchen environment. The Kitchen Helper will work under the supervision of the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.

**Responsibilities**:
1. **Food Preparation**: Assist in the preparation of ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing fruits, vegetables, and other food items as directed by the kitchen staff.

2. **Assistance in Cooking**: Support the cooks and chefs in preparing dishes by assembling ingredients, measuring portions, and following recipes accurately.

3. **Kitchen Organization**: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, including cleaning surfaces, equipment, and utensils to ensure a hygienic cooking environment.

4. **Dishwashing**: Responsible for washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils promptly to keep up with kitchen demands, ensuring a steady supply of clean tools for the kitchen team.

5. **Stock Management**: Assist in receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming food supplies and ingredients. Rotate and manage inventory to ensure freshness and minimize waste.

6. **Food Presentation**: Help with plating dishes and garnishing them according to established guidelines, maintaining consistency in presentation.

7. **Trash Disposal**: Properly manage and dispose of kitchen waste and garbage according to sanitation standards.

8. **Assist with Cleaning**: Perform regular cleaning tasks, including sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down surfaces, and sanitizing kitchen equipment.

9. **Supporting Team**: Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and efficient operations, stepping in to help as needed during busy periods.
