**Your Role**
As the Chief Compliance and Risk Officer for Gen Re India Branch, you will report to the Chief Executive Officer of India Branch, Corporate General Counsel and Chief Risk Officer, GRAG Germany. You will lead the local regulatory compliance and risk function and also serve as the branch’s Information Security Officer. You will be contact point for the local competent supervisory authorities and responsible for apprising the Board and senior management on applicable acts, rules, regulations, guidelines and circulars.

**Your Key Responsibilities**
- Ensuring that the Branch and its business activities’ comply with the provisions of applicable laws and regulations as well as related regulatory directions and internal policies by:

- Monitoring and reviewing local legal and regulatory developments
- Identifying, assessing, and reporting on compliance risks
- Developing and reviewing the branch and Gen Re’s compliance management framework
- Preparing and executing the annual branch compliance plan
- Managing compliance inspections and operationalizing ERM framework at branch level
- Coordinating the annual Cybersecurity audit performed by external auditors
- Informing and training local employees on compliance matters material to the branch, including data privacy
- Perform other regulatory compliance and risk duties and functions as required

**Your Profile**
- Degree qualified and preferably in law
- At least 5 years of working experience in compliance functions of (re)insurance company in India
- Proven implementation and execution track record of compliance initiatives
- Affinity for mathematical calculations and risk management concepts
- Adept at data / information collation for reporting and preparation of compliance / risk documents purposes
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently as well as a strong team player
