Role Description:
**Responsibilities**:
- Designing, securing, architecting, and collaborating on delivering a secure computing environment.-
- Administration of operating systems, primarily Ubuntu Linux. Others include RedHat/CentOS/SUSE and some Windows.Patch management and critical vulnerability management.-
- Administration of core technologies including converged infrastructure, storage systems, server hardware, networking, and virtualization technologies.-
- Managing work queue through request and incident tickets.-
- Participate with critical incident response activities, including investigation, and resolution.-
- Documentation of systems, including but not limited to configuration management and support processes.-
- Identify and resolve a wide range of novel issues.-
- Collaborate with internal personnel at all levels of the organization.-
- Document requirements from stakeholders and translate to actionable tasks.-
- Propose solutions using best practices.-
- Collaborate with external partners and vendors.-
- Work with vendors to stay informed on the latest technologies.-
- Participate in vendor performance reviews (systems health checks, best practice, solutions development).-
- Develop metrics, track, and proactively improve productivity of the team.-
- Other duties as assigned.- Required Qualification & Skills:- 3 - 5 years of experience as a security practitioner in IT or related systems administration role.
- 7-10 years of experience in an IT Support role.
- Experienced in Identity management architecture, tools, and methodologies (MS Active Directory, LDAP, etc).
- Experienced with PKI/MS Enterprise Certificate Services.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to evaluate and prioritize tasks in an evolving environment.
- Ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with business processes, and policies.
- Ability to analyze data and recommend solutions that balance risk to business with no need for service interruptions.
- Ability to show root cause of an issue.
- Availability of off-hours meetings to collaborate with global staff.
- Minimum 4-year degree or similar technical training.Desired Skills:- Certification in Cybersecurity.
- Certification in LINUX.
- IP networking, IP6 and IP4, virtual networking (VLANs, Subnets, Routing, DNS, MAC Filtering)
- Familiar with virtualized environments using VMWare, public cloud, and other hypervisors.
- Familiar with automation technologies and scripting (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Bash, Perl, Python, etc.)
- Familiar with Containers, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Familiar with IT service management, ITIL methodology.
- User identity, access, authorization (Active Directory, LDAP, NIS).
- Software development methods (Agile /Lean Agile, Scrum).**Location**:- Bangalore, India
