Job Summary: An Auto Parts Salesperson is responsible for selling automotive parts and accessories to customers, including mechanics, automotive repair shops and dealerships. They provide expert product knowledge, excellent customer service, and contribute to the overall success of the auto parts store or dealership. This role requires a deep understanding of automotive components and the ability to communicate effectively with customers to fulfil their automotive needs. Key Responsibilities 1. Customer Service: Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assist customers in identifying their specific auto parts needs.
- Answer customer inquiries about product availability, pricing, and compatibility.
- Provide recommendations and guidance on selecting the right parts and accessories. 2. Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of automotive parts, components, and accessories.
- Stay informed about new product releases and updates in the automotive industry.
- Offer promotions, discounts, and special offers to attract and retain customers.
- Maintain and update product displays and ensure a well-organized sales floor. 4. Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring that popular items are always in stock.
- Recommend orders with suppliers to restock inventory as needed.
- Perform regular stock checks and inventory audits. 5. Technical Assistance: o Assist customers with technical questions and troubleshooting issues related to auto parts.
- Provide guidance on installation and maintenance of purchased parts if necessary.
- Collaborate with mechanics and technicians to ensure customers receive accurate information. 6. Cash Handling and Trans: Process sales transactions accurately, including cash, credit card, and other payment methods.
- Maintain collection details and reconcile daily sales. 7. Documentation and Record-Keeping: o Keep records of sales transactions, returns, and customer interactions.
- Generate reports on sales performance, inventory levels, and customer feedback.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements, such as warranties and return policies. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; some college education or automotive-related training may be preferred.
- Previous experience in auto parts sales, automotive retail, or a related field is advantageous.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and sales processing.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems is a plus.
- Ready to travel 20-25 days a month. A successful Auto Parts Salesperson should be passionate about automobiles, dedicated to customer satisfaction, and capable of maintaining a positive and organized sales environment. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring customers find the right parts for their vehicles and contribute to the overall success of the auto parts store or dealership.
**Salary**: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
