**Wiring Harness Engineer or Technician**:
Design and development: The Wiring Harness Engineer is responsible for designing and developing wiring harnesses based on project requirements and specifications. They work closely with the engineering team to understand electrical system requirements, determine wire routing, and select appropriate connectors and components.

Schematic interpretation: Wiring Harness Engineers interpret electrical schematics and diagrams to understand the wiring requirements and connections between various components. They ensure that the wiring harness design complies with the electrical specifications and industry standards.

Wire selection and routing: Wiring Harness Engineers select suitable wires and cables based on electrical and environmental requirements. They determine the optimal routing paths for the wiring harness to minimize interference, ensure proper insulation and protection, and optimize space utilization.

Connector and component selection: Wiring Harness Engineers choose connectors, terminals, and other electrical components that are compatible with the wiring harness design and the devices/systems it connects. They consider factors such as electrical compatibility, durability, and manufacturability.

Documentation and drawings: Wiring Harness Engineers create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for the wiring harness design. They use computer-aided design (CAD) software to develop 2D and 3D models, wiring diagrams, and manufacturing instructions. Accurate documentation is crucial for production and assembly.

Prototype development and testing: Wiring Harness Engineers may be involved in building prototypes of the wiring harnesses to validate the design and functionality. They conduct testing and troubleshooting to ensure that the wiring harness meets electrical performance requirements, withstands environmental conditions, and functions reliably.

Collaboration and communication: Wiring Harness Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and manufacturing personnel.
