About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic **Merchandising Specialist** to lead the end-to-end process of developing, launching, and managing our home furnishing private label products on Amazon.in. This role requires a blend of market research, product development, vendor management, and e-commerce operations to ensure successful product launches and sustained growth.
## **Key Responsibilities**
1. **Market Research & Product Development**
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities in the home furnishing category on Amazon.in.
- Analyze competitor products, pricing, and customer reviews to inform product strategy.
- Propose innovative product ideas aligned with customer needs and market demand.
2. **Product Feasibility & Testing**
- Evaluate potential products for viability (cost, demand, profitability).
- Collaborate with suppliers to create prototypes/samples for testing.
- Conduct pre-launch testing (e.g., focus groups, surveys) to validate product-market fit.
3. **Sourcing & Vendor Management**
- Identify raw materials, packaging solutions, and reliable vendors.
- Negotiate costs, MOQs, and payment terms with vendors to optimize margins.
- Conduct regular vendor visits to ensure quality, compliance, and timely delivery.
4. **Manufacturing Coordination**
- Oversee production timelines, quality control, and assembly processes.
- Resolve issues related to manufacturing delays or defects.
5. **Amazon.in Launch & Sales Management**
- Create optimized product listings (SEO-driven titles, keywords, images, descriptions).
- Coordinate inventory management, FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon), and PPC campaigns.
- Monitor sales performance, rankings, and customer feedback post-launch.
6. **Customer Feedback & Iteration**
- Analyze customer reviews, ratings, and returns to identify improvement areas.
- Iterate on product design, packaging, or pricing based on feedback.
## **Skills & Qualifications**
- **Must-Haves**:
- 3-5 years of experience in **merchandising, product development, or sourcing** (e-commerce/home furnishing preferred).
- Proven expertise in **vendor negotiation, cost analysis, and supply chain management**.
- Strong analytical skills for market research, pricing, and profitability calculations.
- Proficiency in Amazon Seller Central, Helium 10/Jungle Scout, and data tools (Excel, Google Analytics).
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) for vendor interactions and cross-functional collaboration.
- Willingness to travel frequently for vendor visits.
- **Personality Traits**:
- Curious, proactive, and results-driven.
- Outgoing with strong interpersonal skills for building vendor relationships.
- Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset.
- **Preferred Qualifications**:
- Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Certifications in Amazon Seller Tools, Six Sigma, or digital marketing.
