**Job Description - Junior Instructional Designer**

**Preferred qualifications and skills**:

- Previous working experience as content writer/developer in the K-12 domain for 2+ years
- In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
- Lesson and curriculum planning skills
- Basic knowledge of school curriculums (ICSE, CBSE, IB) and knowledge of the ed-tech space
- Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio, and video scripts.
- A degree in instructional design, educational technology, or a similar relevant field would be an advantage.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken) are mandatory.
- Proficient in MS office, knowledge of authoring tools like Articulate 360, and Captivate is required.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Work with the ID and Subject matter experts to understand the learning objectives of each lesson and develop dynamic activities learning activities and compelling course content that give students an in-depth understanding of various technologies.
- Work with curators to create engaging and interactive content.
- Develop custom learning solutions for a variety of technology topics and for classroom and online delivery.
- Design and produce learning materials in a variety of formats including print, graphics, video, and multimedia to meet learning requirements.
- Devise modes of assessment, such as tests or quizzes, to measure the effectiveness of the course.
- Training teachers on implementing the curriculum on a large scale.
