The Patient Relations Executive acts as a liaison between patients and the healthcare facility, ensuring that patients have a positive experience. This role involves addressing patient concerns, facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers, and ensuring that patient needs are met efficiently and compassionately.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Patient Interaction**:
- Greet and assist patients and their families in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide information about the healthcare facility’s services, policies, and procedures.
- **Complaint Resolution**:
- Address and resolve patient complaints and concerns promptly.
- Document and report complaints to appropriate departments for further action.
- **Communication**:
- Facilitate effective communication between patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Ensure patients understand their treatment plans and any follow-up instructions.
- **Service Coordination**:
- Coordinate patient services, including appointments, tests, and consultations.
- Assist in the coordination of discharge planning and follow-up care.
- **Patient Advocacy**:
- Act as an advocate for patients, ensuring their needs and preferences are respected.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families.
- **Feedback Management**:
- Collect and analyze patient feedback to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement changes based on feedback to enhance patient satisfaction.
- **Documentation**:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions and resolutions.
- Prepare reports on patient satisfaction and complaint resolution metrics.
- **Training and Development**:
- Train staff on patient relation protocols and customer service best practices.
- Stay updated on healthcare industry trends and best practices in patient care.
**Qualifications**:
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, social work, nursing, or a related field.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in patient relations or customer service.
- **Skills**:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Empathy and the ability to provide emotional support.
- Proficiency in using healthcare management software.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
