It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing Job Description Summary: The User Experience Designer III continuously strives to improve the usability of Rocket products and leads the way in being a proactive advocate for users. In this role, the UX Designer works strategically, partners with stakeholders and Information Developers, and employs various UX methodologies including user research to ensure designs that provide the highest degree of user satisfaction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Advocates for great user experiences - Plans and conducts user research. Develops personas, journey maps, empathy maps, and other artifacts that define user requirements and inform design decisions and direction of development. - Designs and conducts user walkthroughs and formative usability formative tests to understand user challenges, test prototypes, and validate designs. Assists in defining participant recruitment methodology to support business needs. - Creates iterative mockups or prototypes for new products, features, and enhancements that clearly communicate designs and future product vision via UI Design Specifications. - Collaborates with Product Management, Product Development, and other cross-functional teams to define requirements, and develop a shared understanding of business goals and product direction - Builds solid relationships with project stakeholders, and influences decisions on product strategy and design. - Contributes to our design system to build visual and interaction pattern consistency across Rocket products - Collaborates with information developers to define strategies for UI content Required Qualifications: - 5+ years of related work experience improving the usability of complex enterprise software products - A portfolio that demonstrates interaction design, user research, and user-centered design process, as well as experience working creatively with cross-functional teams - Proficient with design programs and prototyping tools Adobe XD, Axure, Sketch, or Figma) - Experience with the agile development process - Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript - Excellent written and interpersonal skills - Ability to work successfully with a virtual, international team - Experience with data visualization - Experience in accessibility and internationalization best practices - Strong prioritization skills - Demonstrated ability to think critically about user tasks and workflows and perform Task Analysis using user and SME input. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience using a design system - Experience with Storage solutions, Hybrid Cloud, Public Cloud. - Experience in designing new user interfaces - Experience setting usability goals. **Education**: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in human-computer interaction, human factors, or a relevant discipline such as computer science, industrial design, or cognitive psychology Travel Requirements: < 5% Information Security: Information security is everyone’s responsibility.
