Job Description

Qualification:

- A Ph.D. in Management or a related field from a recognized institution. Additional post-doctoral research or academic leadership training is desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

- International Exposure: Experience working with international academic institution.
- Industry Collaboration: A background in fostering industry-academic partnerships or applied research projects.

Required Experience:

- A proven record of research excellence with publications in top-tier academic journals in management and related disciplines.
- At least 15-20 years of experience in academic research, with progressively responsible leadership roles (e.g., department chair, research director, or faculty leadership).
- Demonstrate expertise in the academic research process, including grant writing, publishing, and research funding and expanding multi-functional research teams/programs.
- Demonstrated success in securing and managing research funding from external sources.

Key Responsibilities:

- Leadership in Research Strategy and Development:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive research strategy that aligns with the institute’s vision, mission, and academic goals.
- Encourage innovative, interdisciplinary, and high-impact research that addresses both academic and real-world business challenges.
- Promote research excellence by supporting faculty members in pursuing research funding, publication opportunities, and collaboration with other academic institutions and industry partners.
- Foster a research environment that encourages faculty development, innovation, and scholarly engagement across various domains of management, business, and leadership.
- Administrative and Strategic Oversight:
- Oversee the functioning of the research office, including managing research staff, budgets, and resources.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to research activities and outcomes.
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team to align research initiatives with the overall strategic goals of the institute.
- Contribute to the development and review of academic policies related to research, ethics, and publication standards.
- Accreditation and Ranking:
- Lead efforts to ensure that the institute’s research activities align with accreditation requirements and contribute to the institute’s ranking and reputation.
- Manage the submission of data for institutional rankings, accreditation bodies, and other external evaluations related to research.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Strong leadership, management, and strategic planning skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate faculty and researchers at all stages of their academic careers.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in organizing academic conferences, workshops, and seminars.
- Ability to build collaborative networks with external partners, both academic and industry related.
