**Job Description - Procurement Executive (Civil)**

**Location**: Chennai
**Industry**: Construction / Civil Engineering
**Experience**: 5+ years in procurement for civil projects

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Identify and evaluate suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors for civil construction materials.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms to optimize costs and ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare purchase orders (POs) and maintain procurement documentation.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and finance teams for material requirements.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and local procurement regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and work with vendors to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Develop relationships with key suppliers to enhance reliability and cost savings.
- Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and supplier performance.
- Handle procurement logistics, including transportation and customs clearance (if applicable).
- Address any supply chain issues or delays promptly.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- **Experience**: Minimum 5 years in procurement within the construction industry.
- **Technical Skills**: Knowledge of civil materials (cement, steel, aggregates, etc.) and vendor management.
- **Soft Skills**: Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- **Tools**: Proficiency in procurement software, SAP, ERP and MS Office

**Job Type**: Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹35,000.00 per month
