Join our culinary team as a Commis 2 specializing in Tandoor Cuisine at our esteemed restaurant in Mysuru, India. We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient individual to assist in preparing authentic tandoor dishes while maintaining the highest standards of quality and taste.
- Assist the Chef de Partie in preparing and cooking tandoor dishes, including naan, kebabs, and other traditional Indian specialties
- Operate and maintain tandoor ovens, ensuring proper temperature control and cooking techniques
- Prepare ingredients, including marinating meats and vegetables for tandoor cooking
- Follow recipes and portion controls to minimize waste and maintain consistency
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards in the kitchen
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service
- Assist in inventory management and stock rotation of ingredients
- Participate in kitchen cleaning and organization tasks
- Support senior chefs in menu development and special event preparations

**Qualifications**
- 1-2 years of experience in Indian cuisine, preferably with tandoor cooking
- Proficiency in tandoor cooking techniques and operation of tandoor ovens
- Strong knowledge of Indian spices, ingredients, and flavor profiles
- Excellent knife skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Valid food safety certification
- Culinary diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and work in a hot kitchen environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Passion for North Indian cuisine and commitment to culinary excellence

**Additional Information**
Prior experience working with Opera or a related system
Fluency in English
Additional languages are a plus
