**Role and Responsibilities**

As an Academic Counsellor, you will be responsible for providing guidance and support to students in their academic journey. Your tasks will include:

- Conducting one-on-one counseling sessions to understand students' educational aspirations and career goals.
- Helping students explore different academic pathways and assisting them in making informed decisions about their future.
- Providing information about various academic programs, courses, and universities to students and their parents.
- Assessing students' interests, skills, and abilities to recommend suitable academic and career options.
- Maintaining accurate records of student interactions and progress, ensuring confidentiality and privacy.
- Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and parents to address students' academic and personal challenges and develop effective solutions.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest trends in education, scholarships, and career opportunities.

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

- A bachelor's or master's degree in education, counseling, psychology, or a related field.
- Previous experience in academic counseling or a similar role, preferably in an educational institution.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and their parents.
- Excellent listening skills and the ability to empathize with students' concerns and challenges.
- Knowledge of different academic and career options, entrance exams, and admission processes.
- Good organizational skills to manage multiple students and their individual needs.
