Resident Medical Officer

**Position: Resident Medical Officer (RMO)**

**Location: St. Columba's Mission Hospital, Hazaribag, Jharkhand**

**Reports to: Administrator**

**Job Summary**: Resident Medical Officer (RMO) will be responsible for providing medical care to patients in the hospital. The RMO will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-standard medical services. This role requires a dedicated professional with a commitment to patient care, clinical excellence, and continuous improvement.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Patient Care**:

- Conduct daily rounds and monitor the condition of inpatients.
- Attend to medical emergencies and provide appropriate treatment.
- Perform diagnostic tests, interpret results, and implement treatment plans.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient medical records.

**2. Clinical Duties**:

- Assist in surgical procedures and other medical interventions as required.
- Prescribe medications and therapies following hospital protocols.
- Provide preoperative and postoperative care to surgical patients.
- Participate in outpatient clinics and community health programs.

**3. Collaboration and Communication**:

- Work collaboratively with the nursing staff and other medical professionals.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and prognoses.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure comprehensive patient care.

**4. Quality Improvement**:

- Participate in clinical audits, morbidity and mortality meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Stay updated with current medical practices and advancements.
- Engage in continuous professional development and training sessions.

**5. Administrative Duties**:

- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation.
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Contribute to the development of hospital protocols and guidelines.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Education: MBBS degree from a recognized institution. Registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or the respective State Medical Council.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in a similar role.
- Skills:

- Strong clinical skills and knowledge.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle medical emergencies efficiently.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records and hospital information systems.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
