**Position**: Blasting and Painting Supervisor

**Location**: surat hazira

**Reporting to**: Project Manager/Operations Manager

## Key Responsibilities:
1. **Surface Preparation & Blasting**:

- Supervise all surface preparation and abrasive blasting activities.
- Ensure blasting operations meet the specified standards for surface cleanliness (e.g., SSPC, NACE, ISO).
- Achieve required productivity per nozzle (80-100 square meters per day).
- Ensure blasting is performed safely, adhering to industry regulations and company safety policies.

2. **Painting Operations**:

- Achieve productivity per painter (450-550 square meters per day).
- Ensure compliance with paint manufacturer specifications, client requirements, and industry standards.
- Supervise daily checks on film thickness, adhesion, and other quality parameters.

3. **Quality Control & Inspections**:

- Conduct and document quality inspections, ensuring mínimal rework (5-10%).
- Facilitate the successful passing of the job by client inspections.
- Coordinate with the client and third-party inspectors to ensure timely job approvals.

4. **Team Management**:

- Lead a team of blasters and painters, providing on-the-job training and guidance.
- Assign tasks, manage workforce productivity, and ensure work is completed according to schedule.
- Promote a safety-first culture by conducting safety briefings, ensuring proper PPE use, and adhering to safety protocols.

5. **Documentation & Reporting**:

- Maintain and update daily progress reports (DPR).
- Record daily activities, including blasting, painting, inspections, and environmental monitoring.
- Provide regular updates to the Project Manager on work progress, challenges, and solutions.

6. **Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)**:

- Enforce adherence to all safety regulations, including the use of PPE, confined space protocols, and hazardous material handling.
- Report and manage any safety incidents or near-misses immediately.
- Conduct regular safety checks and ensure proper housekeeping at the work site.

7. **Equipment & Material Management**:

- Ensure the availability and maintenance of blasting and painting equipment, including compressors, spray guns, and air filters.
- Oversee the inventory of paint, abrasives, and other materials to avoid work delays.

8. **Coordination with Other Teams**:

- Collaborate with other supervisors, engineers, and project managers to ensure smooth execution of the project.
- Coordinate with logistics, procurement, and safety teams to ensure timely availability of resources.

## Qualifications:

- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or relevant technical field.
- 6+ years of experience in blasting and painting supervision in industrial or marine environments.
- Strong knowledge of blasting and painting standards (e.g., SSPC, NACE).
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and quality control documentation.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Pay: ₹32,000.00 - ₹37,816.54 per month
