Electrician (Mep)

**Position: Electrician**

**Location: Chennai**

**The Electrical C License Holder is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems within a power generation unit ranging from 10MW to 50MW. This role ensures that all electrical systems function efficiently and safely, adhering to all regulatory and safety standards.**

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1.Operation and Maintenance**:

- Operate and maintain electrical equipment and systems, including generators, transformers, switchgear, and control systems.
- Conduct regular inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor power generation systems to ensure they are operating within specified parameters and take corrective actions when necessary.

**2.Troubleshooting and Repair**:

- Diagnose and repair electrical faults in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Perform corrective maintenance on electrical systems and components, including troubleshooting issues with wiring, circuits, and control systems.
- Coordinate with other technicians and engineers to resolve complex technical issues.

**3.Compliance and Safety**:

- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards.
- Implement and follow safety procedures to protect personnel and equipment.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.

**4.Technical Support**:

- Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians and other team members.
- Assist in the development and implementation of operational procedures and maintenance schedules.

**5.Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of electrical system performance, maintenance activities, and any incidents or accidents.
- Prepare detailed reports on system performance, maintenance work, and operational issues.
- Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for tracking and documentation.

**6.Emergency Response**:

- Respond to emergency situations involving electrical systems and equipment.
- Participate in the development and implementation of emergency response plans.

**7.Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to work in industrial environments, including climbing, lifting, and working in confined spaces.

**Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in the operation and maintenance of electrical power generation equipment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
