**Position**:MEP Foreman (Residential Construction)**

**Location**: Chennai, Madhavaram
**Department**: Engineering / Construction
**Experience**: 5-10 years in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) within residential construction

**Notice Period**: Immediate / 15 days

**Job Summary**:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled MEP Foreman with 5-10 years of experience in residential construction to oversee and coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works at our residential project sites. The MEP Foreman will be responsible for ensuring the timely execution of MEP installations, supervising on-site teams, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and industry best practices.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Site Supervision & Coordination**:

- Supervise and oversee MEP installations (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) for residential construction projects, ensuring compliance with designs, specifications, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with civil foremen, subcontractors, and other construction teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Provide technical guidance and solutions to on-site teams to address any installation or design issues.
- **Workforce Management**:

- Lead and manage MEP teams (electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, etc.), assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality requirements.
- Ensure proper distribution of manpower, equipment, and materials to maintain efficiency and productivity on site.
- **Project Execution**:

- Interpret MEP drawings and ensure that all installations are done in accordance with the approved designs and project specifications.
- Plan and schedule MEP activities in coordination with the construction schedule, ensuring timely completion of MEP-related tasks without causing project delays.
- Inspect work completed by team members and subcontractors to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
- **Quality Control & Safety**:

- Enforce strict safety protocols, ensuring that all team members are using the correct personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety guidelines.
- Perform regular site inspections to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
- Ensure that all MEP installations are completed to the highest quality standards and that any defects are identified and rectified in a timely manner.
- **Material Management**:

- Monitor the usage of materials on-site, ensuring efficient use and minimizing wastage.
- Ensure the timely procurement and delivery of necessary materials, tools, and equipment for MEP works.
- **Problem-Solving**:

- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to MEP systems and installations, including coordination conflicts with other trades.
- Provide solutions and recommendations for any technical or execution-related challenges on-site.
- **Reporting**:

- Prepare daily and weekly reports on MEP progress, challenges, and site requirements.
- Update the project manager and other stakeholders on MEP activities and timelines.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- 5-10 years of experience in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems within residential construction.
- In-depth knowledge of MEP systems, installations, and best practices.
- Proven ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and specifications.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience overseeing multiple MEP trades.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on safety and quality.
- Strong understanding of local building codes, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems installation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of construction scheduling and resource allocation.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Certification or diploma in MEP engineering or a related field is an advantage.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD) is a plus.
- Experience with high-rise residential buildings is preferred.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, both verbal and written.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
