**Key Responsibilities and Skills**:
Design of Water treatment & general water systems for a thermal power plant. Shall be able to handle projects independently and shall carry out concept and detailed design activities including vendor drawing review and vendor follow-ups,. Able to resolve interdepartmental issues and carry out client interactions in coordination with project team.
- Carry out design activities of Water systems and water treatment, responsible for the quality of document delivery, work in multiple jobs and should be able to guide and mentor young engineers as and when required.
- 1. Preparing and review of feasibility reports, detailed project reports, concept notes, design basis reports for different systems like water and waste water treatment, demineralization plant, sea water/brackish water desalination plants, zero liquid discharge plants, sewage treatment, boiler/process water treatment, cooling water systems and utility water systems etc.
- 2. Conceptual design, basic design and detailed engineering deliverables.
- 3. Aware of the environmental regulations and treatment schemes required for limiting different constituents in waste water discharge.
- 5. Shall be able to do basic process design of the plants mentioned including technology selection, techno economic comparisons.
- 6. Shall be experienced in basic and detail engineering related to all water and waste water equipment.
- 7. Preparation of design calculations, procurement specification, technical bid evaluation, vendor drawing review and vendor coordination.
- 8. Shall coordinate & provide design water analysis, ionic balancing, line sizing, pressure drop calculation, pump/equipment sizing & hydraulics, chemical consumption calculation etc. Software tool based working knowledge for the mentioned tasks is preferred.
- 9. Preparation of layouts for water & waste water treatment plants and PFD / PID's with water balance diagrams
- 10. Knowledge of HAZOP.
- 11. Sound exposure to Codal regulations ( national and International).
- 12. Willing to travel and possess quick learning skills, positive attitude.
