Mainframe Devops Engineer

JOB SUMMARY:
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Building and implementing new development tools and infrastructure
Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying them to developers
Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes.
Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results.
Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.
Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixes
Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended.
Planning projects and being involved in project management decisions.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Master of Computer Applications, or related field

EXPERIENCE:
9-12 years' experience

Preferred:
1-2 years in the Health Insurance Industry

SKILLS:
Mandatory-Devops-Mainframes experience in Mainframe Technologies, experience in tool like Jenkins, Gitlab CI/CD experience
Deployment tools like Ansible, OS experience in Mainframe/ AS400-/Micro focus, Windows, Linux, scripting knowledge in Python, Shell, and PowerShell.
IBM Mainframe Dependency Based Builds (DBB), IBM Developer for z/OS.
Groovy scripting

Non-technical/ Soft skills:
Problem-Solving
Communication Skills
Customer Service
Agile Methodology
Agile Project Management
Coordination skills

Shift:
Ability to work in shift till 12 midnight IST. Work in Hybrid is provided.
