**The Role**

We are looking for a Health and Safety Officer to join our team in ICM Navan. This is an ideal opportunity for a confident individual, who has recently qualified with a positive 'can do attitude', and the drive to get the job done. There are opportunities for support in order to develop your skills & career options.

Reporting into the site Health & Safety Manager, you will have support from the General Manager, Site Management Team and the Group Health and Safety Management Team.

**Requirements**:

- Third level qualification, ideally in Health & Safety
- Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues
- Excellent problem solving skills & and the initiative to come up with new ideas
- Strong communication skills both written & verbal
- Attentive and willing to learn
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office & IT Systems

**Responsibilities**
- Work closely with Health & Safety Manager on day to day tasks - audits, site walks, reporting, updating tackers
- Keeping up to date with Health & Safety Legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of developments within our industry
- Assisting with & conducting regular internal audits to
- Ensuring policies & procedures are being properly implemented, recording the results & feeding back to site team
- Carrying out/updating risk assessments, formulating preventative measures and monitoring conformance
- Developing safe systems of work & maintaining risk trackers as required
- Attending & weekly Safety briefings/huddles with Line Managers
