**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform Static Application Security Testing (SAST) and Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) to identify vulnerabilities in the code and runtime environment.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of authentication mechanisms (e.g., OAuth, JWT, biometrics).
- Test authorization controls to ensure proper role-based access and privilege escalation prevention.
- Assess session handling mechanisms to prevent session hijacking, fixation, and other session related vulnerabilities.
- Verify the implementation of RBAC to ensure users have appropriate access levels based on their roles.
- Test input validation and sanitization mechanisms to prevent injection attacks (e.g., SQLi, XSS).
- Evaluate the security of data in transit (e.g., TLS/SSL implementation) and at rest (e.g., encryption, secure storage).
- Ensure sensitive data is not exposed in logs, backups, or caches.
- Test currency conversion logic for accuracy and security.
- Validate transaction limits and ensure they are enforced correctly.
- Review transaction logging mechanisms for integrity and confidentiality.
- Ensure that error messages do not expose sensitive information and are handled securely.
- Assess the security of user interfaces, including protection against UI spoofing and phishing attacks.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with third-party dependencies.
- Conduct static code analysis to identify security vulnerabilities in the source code.
- Provide recommendations for secure coding practices.
- Document findings and provide detailed reports with actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with development teams to remediate identified vulnerabilities.

**Required Skills**:

- Proficiency in SAST and DAST tools (e.g., Checkmarx, Veracode, Burp Suite, MobSF).
- Experience with reverse engineering tools (e.g., IDA Pro, Ghidra, Jadx).
- Knowledge of secure coding practices and common vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Mobile Top 10).
- Familiarity with encryption, hashing, and secure data storage techniques.
- Experience with API security testing and third-party library analysis.

**Certifications**:

- Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CEH, or GWAPT are a plus.

**Soft Skills**:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
