**Job Description
Area of Responsibility
The Body Electronics team is responsible for the specification, integration, validation and delivery of all Body Electronics ECU's. Responsibilities will include management and direct delivery of body systems:

- Coordinate with cross functional global teams to collectively deliver all aspects of the body ECU on current and future vehicles including
- Maintain and co-ordinate detailed system specifications implementation for the body ECU.
- Maintain the supplier base and establish strategic partnerships to enhance technology roadmap
- Responsible for integrating and adapting complex changes for current technical specifications at ECU level and sub-system level.
- Responsible for managing technical requirements and feature design for the body ECU, provide guidance on system design verification.
- Responsible for Supplier Management for HW and SW releases based on vehicle timeline.
- Responsible to lead root cause analysis on issues identified during validation and vehicle builds
- Take responsibility for resolving issues on current production and development vehicles and taking advice from senior engineers where needed.

- Report on current activities, software status and issues to management levels
- Manage the communication flow and risks for successful delivery of the project and avoid escalations
- Support prototype build planning and lead the BoM validation of prototype and pre-production builds in conjunction with Engineering and Manufacturing team members
- Arbitrate vehicle/lab-car departmental planning and usage
- Develop and co-ordinate DVP plans for all areas associated with the Body ECU.

Knowledge / Experience - 5-7 Years
- Knowledge about Standards like IPC-A-610, ISO 26262, ISO 16949.
- Knowledge about HW topologies like High/Low Side switches, PWM control, push-pull, drivers (DC/DC, linear, LDO)
- Basics of Autosar NM, environment and orientation
- Previous experience of OEM or tier one automotive systems or components / ECU
- Understanding the importance of cost, weight, quality and risk and how it affects the commodities owned and the vehicle programmes the commodities are used on.
- Experience of delivering designs to time, weight and cost targets.
- Supplier management, comfortable with understanding and implementing DFM requirements within the project scope.
- Documentation of Technical Specifications, DFMEA, DVP, Timing Plans, Minutes and Actions of Meetings.
- Experience in Automotive protocol: CAN, UDS, OBD-2, LIN.
- Knowledge of process models (e.g. Automotive SPICE / CMMI), regarding verification, validation and integration process areas and system Development lifecycles (eg.: VDI/V-model)
- Project Planning/Estimation, Resource management skills and defect logging - JIRA/ MS Project
- Experience in Bench Level, Labcar and Vehicle system Testing
- Ability to interface With QA Lead Regarding Release Schedules, Training, Testing Schedule Assistance, & Review Test Cases (soft skills are key)
- Able to perform Rapid Root Cause Analysis (RCA) & Troubleshooting of Issues, organised, systematic and understand the process of fault finding.
- Management of a small technically focussed team of engineers.
- Ability to produce formal documentation to a professional standard
- Ability to effectively manage time between multiple projects.
