**Job Summary**:
The Staff Nurse provides high-quality care to patients by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures. The role involves collaboration with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for patients.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Patient Care**:

- Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on their medical conditions and needs.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatments; report any changes to the medical team.
- Assist with diagnostic tests, preparing patients, and providing post-operative care.
- **Assessment and Documentation**:

- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify needs and develop a personalized care plan.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including care plans, progress notes, and medication administration logs.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:

- Work collaboratively with physicians, healthcare providers, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and home care requirements.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss and plan patient care.
- **Patient Advocacy**:

- Serve as a patient advocate by ensuring that patients' rights are respected and that their needs are met.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families.
- **Safety and Infection Control**:

- Follow hospital policies and procedures related to infection control, safety, and patient care standards.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment by adhering to hygiene and sanitation protocols.
- **Professional Development**:

- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to keep up-to-date with best practices in nursing.
- Attend and contribute to nursing staff meetings, educational sessions, and quality improvement initiatives.
- **Emergency Response**:

- Respond to emergency situations promptly and effectively, providing appropriate care and assistance as needed.
- Participate in code blue and other emergency response drills.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSc Nursing or GNM preferred).
- **Licensure**: Current registration with the relevant Nursing Council.

**Skills**:

- Strong clinical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
