- **Preparing for operations**: Sterilizing the space and shaving the patient at the catheter insertion site
- **Monitoring**: Monitoring patient vitals and sedation during and after operations
- **Paperwork**: Handling paperwork, like consent forms, and filing documents with patient records
- **Collaborating**: Collaborating with other medical staff as needed
- **Equipment**: Assisting with the maintenance of equipment and inventory
- **Supplies**: Obtaining supplies for individual cases
- **Communication**: Communicating with physician continuously and as needed about patient condition

Cath lab staff nurses are a crucial part of a cardiac patient's health care team. They provide high-quality patient care, act as role models, and ensure that all patients are treated as individuals.
