**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Attending project team meetings to gather information, ordering supplies/devices, negotiating/establishing timelines, creating/delivering the project proposal
- Attending meetings and communicating with internal/external lab partners, determining sample size and preparation instructions, ordering testing, issuing purchase orders
- Quality reviews of internal/external lab reports and GTB documents (i.e., Biological Evaluation Assessment (BEA), Biological Evaluation Plan (BEP), Biological Evaluation Report (BER), and Toxicological Risk Assessment (TRA)), owning change control and routing of documents in the quality management system
- Tracking deliverables from internal/external lab partners, updating due dates in project trackers, and escalating as needed (i.e., maintenance of WorkOtter), attending project meetings to provide status updates, analyzing resource capacity within the department, managing Cornerstone training curriculums, preparing presentations for team meetings
- Coordinates biological testing activities by partnering with Medtronic internal Laboratories, NAMSA, WuXi AppTec, Labcorp, or other approved laboratory as appropriate.
- Provides primary interface with Medtronic internal Laboratories.
- All activities must be performed in compliance with the Quality System.
- Performs duties in compliance with environmental, health and safety related site rules, policies or governmental regulations.
- All other duties as assigned.

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**

**EDUCATION REQUIRED**:

- High School Diploma or GED with 8+ years of experience of relevant experience and may require vocational or technical education and advanced certification in addition to prior work experience

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor's Degree or Master of Science or PhD in toxicology, physiology, or related discipline preferred.
- Experience in medical device industry
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Able to handle multiple tasks/projects and manage priorities accordingly.
- Able to work in a team environment, including cross-functional teams, and exert influence without alienating others.
- Computer proficiency using word processors, spreadsheet, project management, and statistical software programs is required.

**SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED**

**Nice to Have**
- Knowledge of applicable ASTM, ISO, FDA and EN standards. An in-depth understanding of the ISO 10993 series - Biocompatibility standard.
- Computer proficiency using word processors, spreadsheet, project management, and statistical software programs is required.
