We are seeking experienced and skilled Sous Chefs to join our culinary team. We are hiring for four Sous Chef positions, each specializing in a specific cuisine:
- North Indian
- Pan Asian
- Mughlai
- Continental
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Prepare and cook dishes to the highest standards, showcasing expertise in assigned cuisine.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of traditional and modern techniques, ingredients, and presentation styles.
**Kitchen Operations**:
- Assist the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations, including food preparation, plating, and presentation.
- Ensure efficient workflow, mise en place, and expediting during service hours.
**Menu Development**:
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop new menu items, specials, and promotions.
- Provide input on menu engineering, flavor profiles, and ingredient selection.
**Team Leadership**:
- Lead a team of cooks and kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes collaboration and teamwork.
**Quality Control**:
- Conduct regular quality checks on food preparation, presentation, and consistency.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
**Inventory Management**:
- Assist in managing inventory, including ordering, storage, and rotation of ingredients and supplies.
**Cuisine-Specific Requirements**:
- In-depth knowledge of traditional North Indian cuisine, including tandoori cooking, curries, and breads.
- Experience with complex spice blends and marinades.
**Pan Asian Sous Chef**:
- Expertise in various Asian cuisines, including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Southeast Asian.
- Knowledge of ingredients, techniques, and presentation styles specific to each cuisine.
**Mughlai Sous Chef**:
- Understanding of Mughlai cuisine's rich history, techniques, and ingredients.
- Experience with intricate spice blends, slow cooking, and rich sauces.
**Continental Sous Chef**:
- Familiarity with European cuisines, including French, Italian, and others.
- Knowledge of classical techniques, ingredients, and presentation styles.
**Requirements**:
- Experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role.
- Strong culinary skills and knowledge of assigned cuisine.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Culinary degree or certification.
- Experience with menu engineering and cost control.
- Familiarity with food safety protocols.
