- Job Responsibilities
- Review workflows to minimize risks associated with the product & improve overall control environment
- Implementation of controls to mitigate process risks in case of operational errors / near misses/exceptions
- Development, maintenance, and ongoing enhancement of process controls including initiation of projects, where required
- Lead execution of RCSA program in India Operations and execute continuous testing of key controls
- Strong stakeholder engagement to ensure identification of issues, quick completion of action plans via scheduled platforms as well as opportunities to deliver back via training/awareness sessions
- Review key risk indicator framework; scorecards and dashboards to ensure appropriateness of metrics / KPIs and facilitate business reviews
- Monitor compliance of policies and procedures related to risk exposure
- Co-ordinate all internal & external audits
- Ensure compliance to required procedures and governance practices
- Produce control related management reports
- Provide Operational Risk (OR) oversight on 1st line assurance function of various Business Units
- Review Executive Risk Committee submissions by the 1st line Assurance functions
- Analyse Risk & Loss data and based on trending initiate OR interventions and ensure key risks are maintained at residual level or below
- Proactive risk & compliance partnering
- Challenging business decision making to include consideration of risks, risk appetite, compliance obligations and regulator expectations
- Monitor local law compliance and compliance with AML & sanctions policies
- Provide comprehensive risk and compliance reporting to Head of Global Risk and Compliance
- Manage ad hoc reporting requests as required from time to time
- Qualifications
- 2 -7 years of Operational Risk experience with sound knowledge of OPs domain
- Proactivity of taking actions and being persistent in addressing issues
- Ability to manage priorities and conflicting issues in a professional manner
- Ability to connect with internal and external stakeholders
- Proficient in building RACMs and control testing
- Proficient in Audit Report writing
- Research and problem-solving skills
- Experience in an e-commerce or Fintech set up is preferrable
