**Job Title**: Safety Officer

**Location**: Kamptee, Nagpur

**Job Type**: Full-time

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA and other relevant regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify safety hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine causes and recommend preventive actions.
- Organize and conduct safety training sessions to raise awareness and encourage safe practices among employees.
- Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with external agencies (e.g., fire departments) to ensure emergency preparedness.
- Participate in safety committees to provide insights and suggestions for improving safety standards.
- Prepare and submit safety performance reports to management.
- Review and rectify safety policy and SOP shortcomings.
- Inspect fire-fighting facilities (e.g., fire hydrants, fire extinguishers) to ensure readiness and proper placement.
- Identify safety violations or non-compliance in the workplace and issue corrective notices in coordination with HR.
- Educate and train employees on fire safety procedures and emergency response.
- Conduct safety audits, toolbox meetings, and mock drills to ensure readiness.
- Support the development and implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policies and programs.
- Perform weekly environmental audits focusing on hygiene and housekeeping standards.
- Conduct weekly safety training sessions for employees.
- Organize and lead Safety Committee meetings.
- Ensure compliance with ISO, IMS standards, and legal documentation requirements under the Factory Act/Factory rules.
- Maintain a safe and healthy working environment, ensuring compliance with all applicable legal requirements.
- Record and maintain data on incidents, near misses, first aid cases, and accidents.
- Inspect all mechanical, electrical tools, and equipment (both internal and third-party).
- Maintain high hygiene standards across the workplace.
- Organize internal and external audits to monitor safety performance.
- Inspect and maintain safety equipment regularly to ensure it is in working condition.

**Qualifications**:

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to conduct training sessions, audits, and safety drills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to ensuring workplace safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
