We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Safety Officer to join our team.This role involves risk assessment, safety training, and continuous monitoring of work practices to minimize accidents and injuries on site.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Safety Monitoring & Inspections**: Conduct regular safety inspections of work sites, machinery, equipment, and processes to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- **Risk Assessment**: Perform detailed risk assessments and ensure that appropriate control measures are in place to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to property.
- **Safety Training**: Organize and deliver safety training programs for employees, ensuring all workers are trained on proper safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- **Compliance**: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards (OSHA, EPA, etc.). Stay up-to-date with changes in health and safety laws and regulations.
- **Incident Investigation**: Investigate workplace accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- **Reporting & Documentation**: Maintain accurate safety records, incident reports, and safety audits. Prepare and submit safety reports to management and regulatory bodies.
- **Emergency Response**: Develop and implement emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, first aid, and fire safety measures. Ensure the availability of necessary safety equipment (e.g., fire extinguishers, first aid kits).
- **Safety Equipment Management**: Monitor the proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety gear, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- **Promote Safety Culture**: Foster a safety-conscious work environment by encouraging workers to report unsafe conditions and behaviors. Motivate employees to prioritize safety in all tasks.
- **Environmental Health & Safety (EHS)**: Support the EHS program by promoting sustainability, environmental responsibility, and waste management practices in line with safety regulations.

**Qualifications**:

- Completed ADIS or Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field..
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and train employees at all levels.
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and safety management software.

**Desired Skills**:

- Ability to conduct safety audits and inspections in various work environments.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Leadership skills to influence and motivate employees to maintain high safety standards.
