**Job Title**: Commercial Underwriter - General Insurance (Broking Industry)

**About the Role**:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented **Commercial Underwriter** with a background in **General Insurance** and at least **2 years of relevant experience**. The role involves underwriting, evaluating, and analyzing commercial risks across multiple insurance lines to support our broking operations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assess, evaluate, and underwrite **commercial insurance proposals** (Property, Marine, Liability, Engineering, Motor Fleet, etc.) in line with company and insurer guidelines.
- Analyze client portfolios and prepare **risk presentations** for insurance companies.
- Collaborate with insurance companies to obtain **competitive terms, quotes, and policy structures**.
- Support the **Business Development and Sales team** in structuring tailored solutions for corporate and SME clients.
- Review policy wordings, terms & conditions, and ensure compliance with regulatory (IRDAI) guidelines.
- Assist in claims analysis, renewal reviews, and portfolio monitoring.
- Maintain strong relationships with insurers, underwriters, and internal teams.
- Contribute to **MIS reports, documentation, and underwriting support** for management review.

**Requirements**:

- **Education**: Graduate / Postgraduate (Commerce, Finance, Insurance specialization preferred).
- **Experience**: Minimum **2 years of experience** in General Insurance underwriting, preferably in a broking or insurance company environment.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of **General Insurance products** (Commercial Lines).
- Ability to interpret risk assessments, policy terms, and underwriting guidelines.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- **Soft Skills**:

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
