**Stenographer Job Duties**

Stenographers have a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:

- Staying up to date with industry standards and technology by participating in continuing education courses provided by their employer
- Maintaining confidentiality of client information such as personal details or business plans
- Reporting directly to a supervisor or manager who oversees the team of stenographers
- Recording and transcribing medical, legal, business, legislative, or other specialized proceedings
- Following established protocols for communicating with other parties involved in the event such as attorneys, witnesses, or other stenographers
- Preparing transcripts of hearings, depositions, or other legal proceedings
- Reviewing audio recordings or transcripts of previous hearings to ensure that they are accurate before they are released to the public
- Providing transcripts or audio recordings of events to attorneys, judges, law enforcement agencies, or any other authorized users
- Preparing transcripts of recorded interviews or interrogations for use in legal proceedings such as trials or appeals

**Salary**: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month

- Mumbai, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
