The achievers and courageous challenge-crushers we seek, have the following characteristics and skills: As an IT System Administrator for HVDC Projects you will work within a team of HVDC project management and engineering specialists to design and deliver full HVDC control and protection solutions for both wind farm grid connections and interconnectors making use of a new transient network analysis laboratory **Your responsibilities** - You are responsible for delivering solution for essential IT infrastructure as part of the control technology for high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission projects. - You are responsible for the administration of the Operating system such as Windows-based, Linux based systems, including but not limited to installation of operating system, configuration of system, user authentication and authorization, system health monitoring, backup and restore. - Design, implement, and manage virtual environments. - Perform routine system monitoring, troubleshooting, and problem resolution to ensure maximum up time and optimal system behavior. - Provide technical support to internal users, resolving hardware and software issues promptly and effectively. - System integration and commissioning of the specific components (servers, workstations, Think Clients) and verification of proper rule settings and hardening measures. - Project implementation of "Cyber Security" concepts as provide by IT Security expert based on international standards for HVDC control & protection systems. - For our internal employees and external customers, you plan and carry out training courses regarding administration of IT systems. - Support Factory Acceptance Tests with sub suppliers and customers. - Ongoing system maintenance to ensure vulnerabilities are managed and patched. - Participate in IT-security audits, threat-risk workshops, and penetration tests incl. evaluation of countermeasures as required. - You will support commissioning and warranty with 2nd and 3rd level support for the life cycle of the project. **Your skills and qualifications** - Bachelor’s degree with qualification in computer science technology or IT specialist apprenticeship with relevant professional training with professional experience. - Proven experience in PC administration, virtualization (preferable Hyper-V) and Active Directory management in small to medium scale organization. Experience in IT-security for industrial networks preferable but not essential. - Solid understanding of operating systems, software installation, and troubleshooting for Windows and Linux. - Experience in project engineering, customer clarification, working in complex teams. - Very good English language skills including Technical English, German language skills are of advantage. - Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, network separation, zone concepts, etc. would be preferential. - Flexible to travel as per business requirements. **Education Type** - B.E/B.Tech/BS-Electrical Engineering **Job Type** - Full Time-Regular **Experience Level** - Mid Level **Total Years of Exp** - 6 - 9
