- **Roles and Responsibilities** -**:
1. Understanding and researching consumer tastes and needs in order to manage design projects.
2. Drawing designs by hand or using computer aided design (CAD) software.
3. Building and creating sample models for production teams (e.g. carpenters and woodworkers) to work from.
4. Designing furniture for manufacture, according to knowledge of design trends, offerings of competition, production costs, capability of production facilities, and characteristics of company.
5. Suggesting ways to improve furniture items already manufactured.
6. Working in close coordination with the management to discuss the initial concept and design brief.
7. Developing models and stereotypes which can be used to progress the furniture to small or large scale manufacture.
- **What are we looking for?**:
1. Minimum experience of 6 months in designing furniture and workspaces.
2. Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketchup, 3D Max or other design programs.
3. Excellent portfolio of previous works.
4. Intuitiveness to understand design and curiosity to learn and work with different materials
