**Location : Arokya Hospital, Salem,Tamilnadu.**

**Job Summary**:
The Duty Doctor is a medical professional responsible for providing medical care and advice to patients, staff, and students on a 24/7 basis. The Duty Doctor will work in collaboration with other medical professionals to ensure that patients receive high-quality, timely, and effective medical care.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Emergency Response**: Respond promptly to emergency situations, such as acute illnesses or injuries, and provide immediate medical care as necessary.
- **Patient Care**: Provide primary medical care to patients, including taking medical histories, performing physical examinations, diagnosing and treating medical conditions, and prescribing medications.
- **Telephone Consultations**: Conduct telephone consultations with patients, staff, and students to provide medical advice and guidance.
- **Medical Decision Making**: Make informed medical decisions in the absence of a specialist or consultant, and refer patients to specialists or other healthcare providers as necessary.
- **Communication**: Maintain accurate and timely records of patient encounters, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- **Collaboration**: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, paramedics, and specialists, to provide comprehensive patient care.
- **Medical Education**: Participate in the education and training of medical students, residents, and other healthcare professionals.
- **Quality Improvement**: Contribute to quality improvement initiatives by identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care.
- **Risk Management**: Identify potential risks to patients and staff, and take steps to mitigate these risks.

**Requirements**:

- **Medical Degree**: Must hold a valid medical degree (MBBS/MD) from a recognized institution.
- **Licensure**: Must hold a valid medical license to practice medicine in the country/state where the organization is located.
- **Experience**: At least 2-3 years of experience in emergency medicine or primary care.
- **Skills**: Excellent communication, clinical decision-making, and leadership skills.
- **Certifications**: Certification in emergency medicine or primary care (e.g., CCEM or CCFP) is an asset.

**Work Environment**:

- **Location**: Salem
- **Shifts**: Will be required to work irregular shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- **Teamwork**: Will work as part of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
