**Voot** is an Indian subscription video on-demand and over-the-top streaming service, owned by Viacom18. It also accessible through Amazon Fire TV, Roku (for Virgin Media and Sling TV subscribers), Apple TV, Android TV, and Chromecast devices.
Voot is available only in India, United States and United Kingdom, and hosts over 40,000 hours of video content that includes shows from channels like MTV, Nickelodeon and Colors. Content is also available in multiple languages like Kannada, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, Odia, Telugu, and Tamil.
**Key Accountabilities**:
Good grasp on REST API concepts and ability to build them using AWS API gateway.
Extensive experience deploying AWS infrastructure as Code using tools such as CloudFormation and Python Boto3.Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle.
Strong knowledge of Git version control system.
Strong knowledge of Python 3 standard library.
Good understanding of Python Enhancement Proposals (PEPs).
Quick learner and technical problem-solving capabilities.
Minimum 4 years’ experience with AWS is desirable.
Knowledge of testing and linting tools, such as pytest, behave, pylint, flake8 and mypy.
Knowledge of AWS Python SDK (boto3).
Understanding of multi-process architecture and the threading limitations of Python.
Understanding relational (SQL) versus document (NoSQL) data models.
Familiarity with server-side template language such as Jinja2, Mako, etc.
Good to have:
AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Developer or Sysop Administrator.
Working in Agile and DevOps methodologies.
- Customer focused with a passion for continuous improvement.Continuously find opportunities for new components or design improvements for the Platform.
