Job Description:
Work from the customer office or from DXC office along with DXC client outsourcing team for IT Continuity (IT Disaster Recovery) planning and DR exercise oversight, issue resolution, and related work.

As part of larger DXC continuity services team, contribute to and leverage from best practices and standards.

Gender Restriction DR Drills are conducted typically at nights of weekends, hence anyone ready to work overnight from customer location is welcome.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for planning and delivery of Disaster Recovery tasks within the delivery cycle of a project. Understands a broad spectrum of IT technologies such as Servers/Storage/Network in order to engage with customer’s experts.
- Deliver DR planning, DR drill governance and Reporting to meets customer requirements. Tasks include preparation of Disaster Recovery Plans for customer, execution of the plan as per the contractual obligations and assisting in the preparation of technical presentations and demonstrations; and participating in customer meetings.
- Works with mínimal direction from the technical lead and with customer nominated representatives to accomplish assigned tasks. Contributes to design for specific deliverables and assists in the development of technical solutions.
- Good in creating ad hoc DR test reports as required by technical lead and by customer.
- Conducts regular self-audits within the technical team and pinpoint any gaps in the DC-DR solutions as appropriate.
- Share knowledge and influence others for good practices on Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity within DXC support team.
- Conduct TableTop exercises for the DXC account support team to identify gaps in DR solutions. Publish report as appropriate to account lead as appropriate.
- Participates as part of a team and maintains good relationships with team members and customers. Understands DXC strategy and the role that the individual plays.
- Uses tools and reuses information for the benefit of projects, and of professional development.
- Exhibits problem solving skills on technical issues and brings some specialized knowledge to a project team and solves moderately complex problems.

Education and Experience:
A Bachelor of Science/Engineering/Arts with

a) minimum of 3 years of BCP/DR experience in Implementation and Delivery (4-8 years in total). OR

b) minimum of 3 years of IT Project Implementation and Delivery experience (4-8 years in total). OR

c) minimum of 3 years as ARL or equivalent (4-8 years in total).

Knowledge and Skills Required
- Energetic and self-motivated
- Knowledge on Disaster Recovery solutions is a must.
- Hands on experience on the operating systems Unix/ Windows. Working understanding of the Database Management systems; Oracle and SQL.
- Good articulation & communication skills
- Clear understanding of incident management, change management, problem management as part of wider ITIL processes.
- Able to take decisions during critical situations.
- Has ability to perform/drive resolution of problems on individual products.
- Able to communicate broad and specific concepts with team and to peers.
- Able to produce documentation for use by team and customer.

Certifications
- Preferred - Certified Business Continuity Planner or any other BCP/DR related certification from a recognized body.
- ITIL v3 Foundation or higher certificate
