Associate, Property Preservation

**Position Summary**: **Under the general supervision of the Manager, Property Preservation, the Specialist, Property Preservation, ensures Loan Servicing and REO properties are maintained per government and investor standards. The Specialist, Property Preservation, will notify the appropriate property preservation vendor to order property instructions, complete property registration in required counties and order track property preservation. The Specialist will process and approve preservation invoices, generate letters and review documents to determine status and evaluate property violations while communicating directly with investor and government.** **Job Functions and Responsibilities** - **Oversees a list of assigned properties in Servicing and REO to confirm that the properties are being maintained per HUD guidelines and the investor requirements and satisfaction.**: - **Responsible for reviewing property inspection reports to report any damage that could be claimable, that needs a response by the preservation vendor and to manage protecting and preserving the asset**: - **Reviews inspection reports for properties both in Servicing and REO for damage, compliance, completeness and accuracy**: - **Responsible for reviewing the exception reports including vendor performance for inspections, occupancies, securing of the properties, 50002 filings, debris removals and other maintenance of the properties**: - **Process and approve invoice payment for property inspections and maintenance**: - **Responsible for reviewing any preservation expenses that are outside the rules matrix and approve/denying the expense up to $1000**: - **Update the Company's systems of record on issues relating to property preservation.**: - **Reviews and monitors the exception reports and alerts preservation vendor of any failures or omissions so that the vendor can correct their performance and address the misses and corrections in a timely manner**: - **Notifies Manager in a timely manner of major issues that required the manager's support and approval**: - **Places orders with the preservation vendor or bids, re-secures and other property maintenance items when these have not been completed by the vendor**: - **Understand comply with Company and Department policies and procedures including complete compliance training and adhering to internal procedures and controls**: - **Performs other related duties as required by management** **Qualifications** **- Any graduate** - **1+ year Property Preservation experience required**: - **1+ year HECM experience preferred, but not required**: - **Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills enabling effective one-on-one and small group communication**: - **Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including, but not limited to, Excel, Word, Outlook**: - **Must be very detail oriented, highly organized and customer service oriented**: - **Sound mathematical and analytical skills**: - **Solid problem solving skills**: - **Must be able to coordinate multiple and changing priorities** **About Us**: **Company: Ocwen APAC** Ocwen is intensely focused on hiring, developing and retaining the best talent in the industry Our commitment to Diversity & Inclusion ensures that we are an organization that creates, promotes and sustains an inclusive work environment in which diversity, inclusiveness and respect are integral parts of our culture and work environment.
