**Job Title**: Housekeeping Supervisor

**Location**: Food Processing Unit, Ambala
**Department**: Housekeeping/Maintenance
**Reports To**: Plant Manager/Operations Head

**Job Role & Responsibilities**:

- **Supervision & Team Management**:

- Manage a team of housekeeping staff, assign daily tasks, and ensure timely completion.
- Conduct regular training sessions on hygiene standards, safe chemical usage, and cleaning procedures.
- Monitor attendance, performance, and maintain discipline within the team.
- **Hygiene & Safety Compliance**:

- Ensure adherence to hygiene standards specific to food processing facilities, maintaining a safe and contamination-free environment.
- Implement cleaning schedules for various zones, including production areas, cold storage, and common spaces.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and FSSAI regulations.
- **Inventory Management**:

- Maintain stock of cleaning supplies, equipment, and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Oversee procurement and timely replenishment of housekeeping materials, maintaining proper records.
- Maintain equipment logs, ensuring that cleaning tools and machinery are serviced regularly.
- **Cleaning & Sanitation**:

- Develop and maintain a daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedule for all critical areas.
- Supervise deep cleaning activities in high-risk zones like the production area, washrooms, and storage units.
- Implement effective waste disposal practices and coordinate with external vendors for waste management.
- **Documentation & Reporting**:

- Keep detailed records of housekeeping activities, audits, and staff attendance.
- Prepare daily and weekly reports on housekeeping status and any incidents.
- Maintain cleaning SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for the unit, ensuring they are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- **Pest Control**:

- Coordinate and oversee pest control activities, ensuring the food plant remains pest-free.
- Maintain logs and schedules for pest management services.
- **Emergency Handling**:

- Manage any housekeeping emergencies (e.g., spills, contamination issues) promptly, ensuring mínimal disruption to operations.
- Implement corrective measures and preventative actions for recurring issues.
- **Cross-Department Coordination**:

- Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Production, and Maintenance departments to ensure integrated hygiene practices.
- Communicate housekeeping requirements and feedback with the Plant Manager.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- **Educational Background**: Diploma/Certification in Housekeeping Management or related field.
- **Experience**: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a food processing unit.
- **Knowledge**: Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, and other food safety regulations.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in using cleaning chemicals, sanitation techniques, and handling housekeeping machinery.
- **Soft Skills**: Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving abilities.

**Work Environment**:

- Ability to work in a food production environment with varying temperature conditions (e.g., cold storage areas).
- Physical fitness to handle the demands of the role, including standing, bending, and lifting as required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹12,889.24 - ₹37,550.01 per month
