Reporting -Preschool Principal / Head of

School/Centre

Key Responsibilities and Accountability:
Curriculum Delivery:

- Collaborate with the Centre Director, Curriculum Coordinator, and fellow head teachers to implement

and deliver lesson plans focused on the holistic development of children aged 2-6 years.
- Facilitate the achievement of learning outcomes and perform both formative and summative assessments.
- Identify and address developmental delays, adopting inclusive practices in consultation with curriculum

leaders.
- Continuously bring innovative teaching methodologies to improve the learning process.
- Provide feedback on the curriculum's design, relevance, and appropriateness, ensuring it remains

contemporary and relatable to learners.
- Ensure the classroom environment is well-maintained and visually appealing.
- Foster a life-long love for learning in early childhood students.

Team Collaboration:

- Work closely with the Curriculum Coordinator and other team members to enhance teaching practices

and curriculum activities.
- Mentor newly joined facilitators and collaborate with care-giving staff to enrich the learning process.
- Demonstrate creativity, initiative, and resourcefulness in achieving centre goals.
- Communicate regularly with the Centre Director and escalate issues when needed.
- Balance independent work with team collaboration to achieve shared objectives.

Health & Safety:

- Ensure a safe, positive, and supportive physical and emotional environment for students.
- Follow all policies and procedures related to child development, safety, and wellness.

Parent Engagement:

- Collaborate with parents to enhance student potential and development.
- Communicate progress and updates during parent-teacher conferences and as needed.
- Share regular reports on child learning and address any incidents in collaboration with the Centre

Director.

Professional Development:

- Participate in workshops and training sessions for continuous professional growth.
- Stay updated with changes in curriculum, global best practices, and requirements of higher education for

early learners.

Classroom Conduct:

- Uphold a respectful and collaborative work environment.
- Display enthusiasm, ownership, and leadership in daily activities.
- Serve as a role model for punctuality, responsibility, and professionalism.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Education: Degree in Early Childhood Education (NTT, Montessori, ECE, CIDTT) or Bachelor's

Degree.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of early childhood teaching experience.
- Skills:

- Proficiency in English (written and verbal).
- Basic computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of current best practices in pedagogy and innovation.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.

Additional Skills:

- Experience working with diverse cultures.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet individual learning needs.
- Familiarity with learning technologies and online platforms.
