**Job Title**: Bakery Commis 1 Chef
**Department**: Bakery / Food Production
**Location**: 4 Star Hotel, Mumbai
**Reports To**: Pastry Chef / Sous Chef

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare, bake, and decorate a variety of bakery items including breads, cakes, pastries, and desserts.
- Follow standardized recipes and ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the bakery section in accordance with hotel and FSSAI standards.
- Assist in inventory control, ordering, and stock rotation of bakery ingredients.
- Support the Pastry Chef and other senior kitchen staff in daily operations.
- Ensure all mise en place is prepared ahead of service.
- Minimize food waste through proper storage and handling.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and hotel policies.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma or Certificate in Bakery & Confectionery or Culinary Arts.
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in a bakery or hotel kitchen.
- Good knowledge of baking techniques, ovens, and equipment.
- Creativity and attention to detail in decoration and presentation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of food cost and portion control.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
