Job Title: Restaurant Captain
Job Summary:
The Restaurant Captain oversees the dining room operations, leads the service team, and ensures guests have a high-quality dining experience. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of food and beverage service.
Key Responsibilities:
- **Guest Relations**:
- Welcome guests warmly and assist with seating.
- Address guest queries and complaints promptly and courteously.
- Ensure a personalized and memorable dining experience for each guest.
- **Service Management**:
- Supervise and coordinate the service team, ensuring smooth operations.
- Train and mentor service staff in customer service, menu knowledge, and table etiquette.
- Monitor food and beverage service to ensure it meets the restaurant’s standards.
- **Order Management**:
- Take orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen and bar.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and drinks.
- Coordinate special requests and dietary preferences with the kitchen staff.
- **Quality Assurance**:
- Oversee table setups, cleanliness, and service presentation.
- Perform quality checks on food and beverage before serving.
- Ensure restaurant ambiance is maintained, including lighting, music, and temperature.
- **Team Collaboration**:
- Work closely with the kitchen, bar, and other service staff to ensure smooth operation.
- Coordinate with management to communicate guest feedback and service improvements.
- Assist with scheduling and allocation of service staff during peak hours.
- **Sales and Upselling**:
- Recommend menu items, daily specials, and pairing suggestions to guests.
- Upsell items by explaining the menu in a way that enhances the guest experience.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in a similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
Working Conditions:
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physically able to stand for long periods and lift/move items as needed.
The Restaurant Captain role is crucial for maintaining a high standard of service and ensuring guests leave satisfied, driving both customer loyalty and restaurant success.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
