**Your Role and Responsibilities**

To provide storage management services, support and product expertise for the implementation and ongoing support of backups and storage solutions across various customer accounts.

The services provided include but are not limited to the follow
**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**

Capacity planning and forecasting of data growth and Change Management in Data Centers.

Management and administration of Virtual Tape environments.

Performed activities like DASD Inits - done using ICKDSF, dataset and volume migrations.SSS

Performed DASD volume migrations using TDMF moves.

HSM troubleshooting and management of HSM activities.

Performed HSM forward recovery as part of fixing CDS corruption.

Alter, Edit and Eject tapes, Copy jobs for tapes, VTS and ATL management, Throttling and Cache management for 7740, 7720

Performed RMM CDS Re-organizations
**Preferred Technical and Professional Experience**

In-depth knowledge and experience in fundamental storage management concepts such as DFSMShsm, dfp, & dss.

Data Migrations using TDMF

Basic Knowledge on the following technologies: z/OS, Unix System Services, SMP/E, REXX, Java, VSAM, Third party products

MBO, IAM Version upgrade, Checkouts on z/OS upgrade & Microcode upgrade on Tape & Dasd boxes

**Required Education**

Bachelor's Degree

**Preferred Education**

Master's Degree
