**Mainframe IMS Database administrator**-**:

- The IMS Database Administrator would need to have at least 6+ years of experience.
- Implement and maintain Database backup and recovery strategy.
- Experience in creation of DBDs, PSBs, ACBs
- Strong Knowledge on IMS Utilities and DBRC.
- Experience in database initialization, forward recovery & building secondary index and pointer checker, checkpoint restart.
- Provide Production support - on-call 7×24.
- Provide troubleshooting and problem determination during outage or daily issues.
- Monitor space utilization.
- Assist with testing and validation of database software upgrades (IMS v14).
- Administration of databases throughout the development and production lifecycles.
- Excellent Communication Skills.
