Store In-charge

The Store Incharge is responsible for overseeing all store operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the store. This role involves managing inventory, supervising staff, handling customer billing, maintaining store standards, and ensuring that the store meets business objectives. The Store Incharge must be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:1. **Store Operations**:

- Supervise daily store operations and ensure smooth functioning.
- Manage opening and closing procedures for the store.
- Ensure the store is organized, clean, and well-stocked at all times.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for replenishments.
- Manage stock rotation to minimize waste and prevent stockouts.

2. **Billing and Customer Transactions**:

- Operate the cash register and process customer transactions accurately.
- Ensure timely and accurate billing, providing customers with invoices and receipts.
- Handle customer queries related to pricing, product availability, and promotions.
- Process returns, exchanges, and refunds as per store policy.
- Ensure that all financial transactions are recorded and handled securely.

3. **Inventory Management**:

- Maintain accurate stock levels, monitor stock movements, and perform regular stock audits.
- Assist in receiving, inspecting, and storing merchandise according to store policies.
- Perform regular stock checks and update inventory records to reflect current stock.
- Coordinate with the warehouse for stock transfers and reordering of products.

4. **Staff Supervision and Training**:

- Supervise and motivate store staff, ensuring they are trained in store policies, customer service, and operational procedures.
- Schedule shifts, ensuring proper coverage during peak hours.
- Monitor employee performance, provide feedback, and address any performance issues.
- Lead by example in maintaining excellent customer service standards.

5. **Customer Service**:

- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer needs and resolving complaints promptly.
- Ensure staff is equipped with the knowledge to assist customers effectively.
- Maintain a positive shopping experience through the management of store displays and product placement.

6. **Compliance and Safety**:

- Ensure compliance with store policies, local laws, and health and safety regulations.
- Conduct safety checks and maintain store safety standards.
- Ensure all merchandise is priced correctly and in accordance with store pricing policies.

7. **Reporting and Administration**:

- Maintain daily sales reports and inventory records for review by senior management.
- Report discrepancies in stock, cash, or billing immediately to upper management.
- Prepare weekly/monthly sales and inventory reports.
- Assist with preparing reports for stock audits and other operational needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Previous experience in retail or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and billing software.
- Ability to handle cash and financial transactions accurately.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
